1. About Equitaro

Equitaro is an online marketplace that connects horse buyers and sellers across Europe. We provide the platform — we do not own, buy, sell, or transport any horses, equipment, or services listed on our platform.

By using Equitaro, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

2. User Accounts

To publish listings or contact sellers, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Keep your account credentials secure
• Be at least 18 years old
• Not create multiple accounts for the same person

3. Listings & Content

When publishing a listing, you agree that:

• All information is accurate and not misleading
• You are the legal owner or authorized representative of the item/service
• Photos are real and represent the actual item being sold
• You comply with all applicable laws regarding animal welfare and trade
• You will not post duplicate, spam, or fraudulent listings
• You grant Equitaro a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence, sublicensable only to the extent technically necessary for publication on third-party platforms, to reproduce, adapt (crops, resizing, excerpts and the formats required by each channel, respecting the integrity of the content) and display the listing content (text, photos and videos) on the platform and on Equitaro's official channels — including social media and promotional materials — solely to promote the listing and the platform. This licence ceases for new uses once the listing is no longer published; posts already made may remain, and you may request their removal, which Equitaro will carry out within a reasonable time. You warrant that you hold the rights to the content or have obtained all necessary authorisations, including the consent of any identifiable persons in the photos or videos to this dissemination

4. Transactions

Equitaro is a marketplace platform only. All transactions are between buyers and sellers directly. Equitaro does not charge any commission on sales.

We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of items listed, the accuracy of listings, or the ability of buyers/sellers to complete transactions.

5. Promotions & Payments

Equitaro offers optional paid promotions to increase listing visibility. Payments are processed securely via Stripe. Promotions are non-refundable once activated.

6. Prohibited Content, Moderation & Reporting

You may not list content that is illegal, fraudulent, abusive, or that violates animal welfare standards. Equitaro may remove any listing or suspend any account that breaches these terms.

Moderation: listings may be reviewed automatically and by our team before or after publication. When we restrict, hide or remove a listing, we inform the seller of the reason, and they may contest the decision by contacting us.

Reporting illegal content: anyone — registered or not — can report a listing they believe is illegal or breaches these terms by emailing [email protected]. We review every report, acknowledge receipt, and act where appropriate.

7. Limitation of Liability

Equitaro is provided 'as is'. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that the platform will be error-free. Our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.
